Happy Native American Heritage Month! At the Indigenous Conservation Council, we believe that when Indigenous Peoples are connected and able to care for their ancestral territories by using their Indigenous Knowledge, that land, water, and all relations will be whole and healthy. This is our theory of change--quite simply, you can't have whole and healthy ecosystems without Indigenous care and partnerships.

All around the world, western science is reaffirming what Indigenous People have known for thousands of years--that expanding Indigenous tenure makes cultural landscapes healthier, more biodiverse, and in record time. Now it's time to reconnect Indigenous communities to their lands for all of our shared benefit!

Next week, on November 10th, we'll be presenting on our work as one of ten funded projects of the Blue Convergence Fund Project and invite you to join us! This year's cohorts are all focused on expanding meaningful community engagement to shape science and policy. We can't wait to share our work with you!

Read more about our project and register to join us on November 10, 2026 @2PM ET/1pm CT/11am PT): https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_d2x6fW78ToGnY-uv7xwLOQ
